Estimates, calculated by charity Carers UK and the University of Leeds, are that there are around 6.4 million unpaid carers in the UK. Their research show that the care provided by friends and family members to ill, frail or disabled relatives is now worth a staggering £119 billion every year.

Rotherham Carers’ Forum is an independent group which enables informal family and friend carers (unpaid), to have a voice in shaping services in Rotherham.

We aim to work together as an equal partner with the Local Authority, Health Services, Voluntary and Community organisations, charities and groups, participating in and influencing local decision making on services for carers and their families/friends.
